Juvenile arrested after threat made on Appomattox Co. HS sends students into lockdown

A juvenile is facing charges following a lockdown at Appomattox County High School on Thursday morning.

Around 10:30 a.m., Sheriff Donald Simpson with the Appomattox Co. Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded after receiving information about a threat made on the school.

Simpson said officers checked the school and lifted the lockdown around 11:30 a.m.
