HENDERSON, Ky. – A man suspected of shooting three people in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on Monday has been flown to a hospital after authorities say he sustained a gunshot wound to his head during a standoff in Hopkinsville.
Elizabethtown Police confirmed the shooting took place in the parking lot of the courthouse on Monday morning. Three people were reportedly shot, and the suspect fled the scene and left the county.

During a pursuit with multiple law enforcement agencies, authorities say the suspect pointed a rifle at pursuing officers multiple times. Police say the suspect fled into a church parking lot in Hopkinsville, where a 90 minute standoff took place.
During the standoff, police say the subject pointed his weapon multiple times at both himself and officers at the scene. The standoff ended after the suspect sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
