Sanford Police Investigate Late-Night Gunfire on Bodwell St.

SANFORD — Police are investigating after multiple gunshots were fired in Sanford late Tuesday night.

Police say they responded to Bodwell St. around 11 p.m. after getting multiple reports about shots fired.

According to police, no one was injured.

Shell casings were found in the area.

Police say they are following up on multiple leads as to who the shooter(s) were.

Anyone who lives on Bodwell, School, and Church St. is asked to check their surveillance footage from around 11 p.m. on Tuesday and call the Sanford Police Department at (207) 324-3644 with any information.
