STERLING, Ill.   – The Sterling Police Department responded late Tuesday to the Pizza Ranch on 3900 East Lincolnway in Sterling for calls of a 17-year-old customer who had shot an employee.

Officers arrived on scene to find a 17-year-old employee of the Pizza ranch that had sustained a gunshot wound on his neck. The employee was transported to a local hospital. Upon investigating it was determined the gunman had left the scene after the shooting.

Authorities later found the 17-year-old male suspect at a residence in Rock falls.
